Point at a district
3,201
criminal case rows placed in 92 of the 94 districts. Most: Southern District of Florida, 172. 476 rows are not placed (see the table).
Source: this archive's roster of pandemic-relief fraud defendants (criminal rows only); the district pages it links to are at Prosecutions by district. As of: roster rows last updated 24 September 2026; counted 2026-09-27. Units: roster rows (one per defendant record), not cases, not press releases and not fraud. The count follows where prosecutors brought and announced cases. Method: the court named in each row, else its jurisdiction field, else the court or U.S. Attorney's Office in its source links, mapped to the 94 districts; 3,201 of 3,677 rows placed, 476 not placed and never guessed. The district pages count a different, smaller record set (922 records), and the districts ranking counts 2,879 press releases, so the three figures differ by design. A rate per 100,000 loans needs a county-to-district crosswalk, so this map does not show one.
