I am the attorney for Casey Crowther.  
 just published a completely inaccurate news article 
claiming that Mr. Crowther is charged with seven new charges in his PPP fraud case ("Casey Crowther faces 7 
additional charges in his PPP fraud case").  The article states "Now, Crowther faces a total of 15 charges." This 
is blatantly false.  If 
 bothered to read the Superseding Indictment attached to her article, she 
would see seven counts - the same amount of counts as the prior superseding indictment.  If she bothered to 
perform any due diligence at all, then she would have reviewed the record and understood that the Judge 
pointed out a technical error in the government's superseding indictment and the superseding indictment 
published yesterday was merely to fix that small error.  The counts are otherwise exactly the same. This type 
of negative publicity can severely financially damage a local company such as Target Roofing. It is careless, 
reckless, and unacceptable. 
I called the newsroom and spoke to 
.  She stated that the information “just came into the 
newsroom” and she wrote the article.  She admitted that she did not even read the superseding indictment 
provided in the link that she attached to her article.  She admitted that NO further due diligence was 
performed.  Is this how you run a news organization? This level of incompetence and disregard for the truth 
is unbelievable.  Not only does this cause financial damage to a company that employs over 150 employees,

Mr. Crowther personally faces criminal charges.  These type of false and inflammatory articles poison a 
potential jury pool and could cost him his freedom.  Spreading inaccurate information can significantly 
damage a person’s life – a person with a family and a legitimate businesses. The least you can do is check 
your information before publishing it to a global forum. 
I would like to add that 
 took such little time in preparing this “news” article that she couldn’t 
even get her inaccurate facts straight.  Seven additional charges would equal fourteen, not fifteen.  That’s 
how little she cared.
