LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Fort Myers roofer accused of stealing COVID-19 relief funds now faces seven additional charges, court
documents show.
Crowther now faces two counts of false statements to a lending institution, three counts of illegal monetary transactions, and two
counts of bank fraud. He is expected to appear at an arraignment hearing on these new charges tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
The Target RooÕng and Sheet Metal, Inc. owner is accused of using funds from the Paycheck Protection Program to buy a 40-foot
catamaran and home in St. James City.
Crowther is accused of using his company’s PPP money to buy the boat, as well as falsifying his bank account to make it seem like he
had enough money to be approved for a mortgage for the St. James City property, according to federal documents.
Now, Crowther faces a total of 15 charges.
