ORDER  
 
This matter is before the Court on Defendant’s letter dated April 22, 2024.  
[Doc. 988].  In the letter, Defendant asks the Court to appoint an attorney for her in 
order to file a sentence reduction pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(2).  The Court 
thus construes Defendant’s letter as a motion to appoint counsel.   
In the Northern District of Georgia, an administrative order exists that 
provides that the Federal Defender Program “is appointed to review the file of each 
defendant on the United States Sentencing Commission’s list and every other 
defendant who files in this Court a pro se motion for a reduction in sentence under 
Amendment 821 and 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(2).”  [Doc. 1046, p. 1].  The 
administrative order further states that the Federal Defender Program is also 
“appointed to review the case of each defendant who files a motion to appoint 
counsel to pursue such a motion.”  Id.

By operation of the administrative order, the Federal Defender Program has 
already been appointed to review Defendant’s case because she filed a motion to 
appoint counsel.  As such, the motion to appoint counsel [Doc. 988] is DENIED 
AS MOOT.
