PRESTAMOS CDFI, LLC and CHICANOS POR LA CAUSA, INC., Defendants. Civil Action No. 5:21-cv-04337-JMG JOINT MOTION TO EXCEED PAGE LIMITS FOR CLASS CERTIFICATION BRIEFING 1. Pursuant to the Court’s Amended Scheduling Order issued on May 28, 2024 (ECF No. 123), plaintiffs’ motion for class certification shall be filed by September 6, 2024 and defendants’ response shall be filed by October 4, 2024. 2. Pursuant to the Court’s Policies and Procedures section II. B. 4, opening briefs filed in support of and in opposition to a motion are limited to 20 pages which also “includes the table of contents and any attachments or addenda.” 3. The parties have met and conferred and agree that there is good cause to exceed these page limits concerning class certification briefing, subject to the approval of the Court. Accordingly, the parties propose that the Court permit the parties to file briefs of up to 20 pages of text excluding any table of contents, table of authorities, and any attachments or addenda. Among other things, this will enable the parties to also submit evidence concerning class certification and to enable the Court to adjudicate class certification on a fulsome record.
