Summary
A Supplemental Notice of Imminent Eviction Hearing filed July 24, 2025 as Document 46 by pro se plaintiff Joshua Abrams in Abrams v. Division of Unemployment Insurance, et al., Case No. 1:24-cv-03390-RMR, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. The notice states that no ruling or action has been taken in the matter since the plaintiff's July 2, 2025 filing, despite multiple emergency motions. It reports that a Forcible Entry and Detainer action, Case No. 25C1455, has been docketed with a hearing scheduled for July 30, 2025, and states that the hearing is the direct result of the plaintiff's inability to secure the unemployment backpay at issue in the case. The plaintiff renews the request for immediate judicial action on the emergency motions. The filing includes a certificate of service and states that a copy of the eviction hearing summons is attached as Exhibit A.

Supplemental Notice of Imminent Eviction Hearing
Plaintiff submits this supplemental notice to inform the Court that despite multiple emergency
motions, unrebutted filings, and formal requests for status conference and injunctive relief, no
ruling or action has been taken in this matter since Plaintiff’s July 2, 2025 filing. Plaintiff first
gave formal notice of a housing crisis on July 1, 2025, and the situation has now escalated into a
legally docketed Forcible Entry and Detainer (FED) action, Case No. 25C1455 [attached as
Exhibit A], with a hearing scheduled for July 30, 2025.
This hearing is the direct result of Plaintiff’s inability to secure the unemployment backpay and
economic relief at issue in this case. The harm is neither abstract nor speculative: absent
immediate judicial action, Plaintiff who is disabled, indigent, and accompanied by a service
animal faces homelessness and irreversible harm no later than July 31, 2025. Plaintiff has no
funds to relocate, no viable shelter options, and no access to support services.
The constitutional and ADA violations already briefed are now culminating in life-threatening
harm and final deprivation of rights that could have and should have been addressed through
Case No. 1:24-cv-03390-RMR Document 46 filed 07/24/25 USDC Colorado pg 2

timely adjudication of the pending motions. Plaintiff respectfully renews the request for
immediate judicial action on the emergency motions and reiterates the urgency and gravity of the
circumstances.
A true and accurate copy of the eviction hearing summons is attached as Exhibit A.
Respectfully submitted,
