Pandemic-relief / PPP-EIDL role
One of three staff attorneys of record on the Womply deceptive-marketing settlement.
The case alleged that Womply and Toby Scammell made deceptive PPP-application marketing claims to small businesses seeking emergency relief. The FTC case page states that Womply and its CEO agreed to pay $26 million to settle the charges. The order imposed conduct and recordkeeping provisions and a "neither admit nor deny" clause (stipulated order).
