As grounds, it is stated: At his initial appearance on June 30, Mr. Leavitt indicated that he intends to retain private counsel in this matter. Undersigned counsel was provisionally appointed without a financial affidavit. A status of counsel hearing was scheduled for July 8. On July 7, undersigned counsel learned that private counsel will likely appear in this matter on July 11. To avoid an unnecessary hearing, a brief continuance is requested, which will likely moot the issue. AUSA Alex Chen assents.
