Restoration of the right to carry/firearm rights, and 2. Sealing or restriction of the Defendant's criminal record, and in support thereof shows the Court the following: STATEMENT OF FACTS 1. The Defendant was convicted/sentenced in the above-styled case and has successfully completed all terms of the sentence, including incarceration, probation, fines, fees, and any court-ordered programs. 2. The Defendant accepts full responsibility for past actions and has demonstrated 9enuine rehabilitation by making significant, verifiable life changes. The Defendant has learned from past mistakes and has lived as a law-abiding, productive citizen, contributing positively to the community. ARGUMENT FOR RELIEF 6. The purpose of criminal sentencing is rehabilitation, accountability, and public safety. The Defendant has fulfilled all three objectives. 7. Continued denial of civil rights-including the right to carry and an unsealed criminal record-creates undue hardship, limits employment opportunities, and prevents the Defendant from fully reintegrating into society. 8. Restoration of rights would: o Allow the Defendant to return to a meaningful career path, o Support the Defendant's long-standing goal of working toward reform and positive change within the justice system, o Serve the interests of justice by recognizing successful rehabilitation. 9. Granting this Motion would not endanger public safety and would be consistent with the principles of fairness, second chances, and reintegration.
