ORDER 
 
Defendant’s previously appointed counsel, L. Dudley Senter has filed a Sealed Motion to 
Withdraw as Counsel [Doc. 12]. A hearing on the Motion was conducted before the undersigned 
on May 11, 2022. At the hearing, the Court noted the absence of Mr. Thomas and was advised by 
counsel that Mr. Thomas had been sent a letter informing him of the motion and hearing. For 
reasons offered during a sealed portion of the hearing, the Court finds that it is necessary for 
Defendant’s counsel to withdraw; therefore, the motion [Doc. 12] is GRANTED.  
The Court has previously determined that Defendant is financially qualified for court-
appointed counsel. As such, the Court appoints Jefferson Fairchild, a member in good standing of 
the CJA panel, to represent Defendant in all further proceedings in this action.
