Summary

An order in United States of America v. Chad B. Thomas, 2:21-MJ-100, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, Greeneville Division, filed June 21, 2021 as Document 8. It recites that the defendant's previously appointed counsel, Cameron C. Kuhlman, of Federal Defender Services of East Tennessee, filed a Motion to Withdraw as Counsel [Doc. 3] and Reasons in Support [Doc. 7] alleging a conflict of interest. The Court finds that withdrawal is necessary based on the information in that motion and the sealed reasons in support, and grants the motion. Noting that it had previously determined the defendant is financially qualified for court-appointed counsel, the order appoints L. Dudley Senter, III, a member in good standing of the CJA panel, to represent the defendant in all further proceedings. It is signed by a United States Magistrate Judge.
