Mava has been my patient on an outpatient basis since our initial evaluation on May 26th,202I and was most recently seen in the office today, February 20t' ,2024 . Her diagnoses to date have included ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and disruptive behavior disorder. Based on my experiences with Mava over the last few years and repeated observations, it is clear to me that Mava is very intensely attached to both of her parents, most especially her father. Mava and her father have a very stong, healthy and positive bond. Particularly because of her mental health diagnoses, especially autism spectrum disorder, this parental attachment is extremely important, and Mava would have a significant worsening of her mental and emotional health if she were separated from him, including worsening anxiety, depression and behavioral problems. She also struggles with many routine activities and requires assistance specifically from her father for many day-to-day things. She has made significant progress in independence and general mental wellness because of her father's attention and support, and would lose this progress if she were separated from him.
