Biographies of PJT Professionals
James Baird. Mr. Baird is a Partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations
Group at PJT Partners LP. Mr. Baird has worked on a broad range of restructuring
and reorganization assignments for companies, creditor groups, special committees,
and acquirers of distressed assets, including (among others) the following publicly-
disclosed representations: 24 Hour Fitness, American General Finance (AGF),
American International Group (AIG), BCBGMAXAZRIA, Belk, Bresler & Reiner,
Bon-Ton, Borders Group, Cengage Learning, Centric Brands, Covia Holdings
Corporation, Cumulus Media, Detroit (City of), Dura Automotive Systems,
Footprint Salem Harbor, Ford Motor Company, FULLBEAUTY Brands, General
Motors, Gibson Brands, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Hovnanian Enterprises, iHeart
Media, International Lease Finance Corp (ILFC), IPC Systems, J. Crew, Jack
Cooper, Jefferson County Sewer System, Meridian Automotive Systems, The
Minneapolis Star Tribune, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Noranda
Aluminum, OSG Billing, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), The Pacific Lumber
Company, Paragon Offshore, PDV Holding, Inc., Preferred Sands, Puerto Rico,

Limited, WeWork. Mr. Baird received an AB from Bowdoin College and an MBA
with honors from Columbia Business School.
Michael Schlappig. Mr. Schlappig is a Managing Director in the Restructuring and
Special Situations Group at PJT Partners. Mr. Schlappig has over 15 years of
Investment Banking experience advising companies and their stakeholders in
chapter 11 restructurings, out-of-court workouts and other distressed transactions,
including the following representative publicly disclosed transactions, among
others: BW Homecare Holdings, LLC; Cineworld Group plc; Clearwire
Corporation; Digicel Group Limited; Essar Steel Algoma Inc. (2014); Frontier
Communications Corporation; GFG Alliance; GT Advanced Technologies Inc.;
Ligado Networks LLC (2020); LightSquared Inc. (2015); Magnum Hunter
Resources Corporation; NII Holdings, Inc.; Northpole Newco S.a.r.l.; Pacific
Drilling S.A.; Starry Group Holdings, Inc.; syncreon Group B.V.; TerreStar
Corporation/TerreStar Networks Inc.; Theia Group, Inc.; and Windstream
Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining PJT Partners, he worked at Blackstone for over five
years, serving as a Vice President. Mr. Schlappig received a BA from Cornell
University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Dylan Friesner. Dylan Friesner is a Vice President in the Restructuring and Special
Situations Group at PJT Partners, based in New York. Mr. Friesner has advised
companies, sponsors, and creditors in a variety of restructuring and liability
management transactions across various industries. Mr. Friesner received a BA and
a BS from Indiana University, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University
of Pennsylvania, and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Mr.
Friesner is a CFA charterholder.

Ahmad Choudhry. Ahmad Choudhry is an Analyst in the Restructuring and
Special Situations Group at PJT Partners, based in New York. He joined the firm
in 2023. Mr. Choudhry graduated summa cum laude from the Macaulay Honors
College at Baruch College with a BBA in Finance.
