The Womply case is a pandemic-relief consumer-protection case rather than a lender false-claims case. It concerned borrower-facing marketing and processing representations tied to PPP applications: four counts alleging false promises that Womply would obtain loans, provide individualized service, move quickly, and review applications within 24 hours. The FTC filed the March 18, 2024 complaint together with a pre-negotiated stipulated order; the parties agreed to a $26 million monetary judgment and a permanent injunction (FTC release and stipulated order, cited in the FTC-attorney profiles), and the case resolved by consent the same day it was filed.
