The profile

CEO of the Innovative Lending Platform Association since 2017; ILPA's 2020 Senate LDA reports list lobbying on PPP and EIDL extension and loan forgiveness.

Identity and role

Scott G. Stewart became CEO of the Innovative Lending Platform Association in 2017 (ILPA announcement). ILPA represents online lending and service companies serving small businesses (ILPA site).

Pandemic-relief / PPP-EIDL role

ILPA's 2020 Senate LDA quarterly report lists its lobbying on extending PPP and EIDL, loan forgiveness, 501(c)(6) relief and H.R. 6886. In the press, Stewart argued for fuller PPP access for fintech-served borrowers (Banking Dive; we have a copy).

ILPA's October 2024 FDIC comment lists members including Biz2Credit.

No personal enforcement action, relief loan, or company-side PPP conduct was found.

Where they are now (2025–2026)

ILPA public materials and its Senate LDA filings identify Stewart with ILPA leadership and its federal lobbying and regulatory-comment record. No PPP-company operating role was identified for him.

ILPA's membership has included Biz2Credit, Lendio and OnDeck (per the FDIC comment capture where it names them; otherwise cited to ILPA's site); see the Rohit Arora, Brock Blake and Noah Breslow profiles. The bank-trade counterpart was Rob Nichols's ABA. Mary Jackson's Online Lenders Alliance, another fintech and nonbank-lending trade group, filed its own FDIC comment letter of September 22, 2020 on bank-fintech technology providers.
