Jonathan Joseph Skladany, who goes by Jon. Washington, D.C. From 2020 to 2022 he served as oversight counsel for Rep. Steve Scalise and the Republicans on the U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis — the minority side of the Clyburn-chaired panel. He then spent about a year as U.S. Government Affairs and Senior Communications Officer at the International Monetary Fund, managing the IMF's relationship with U.S. government stakeholders, before entering private practice.

His documented committee work on financial-services and fintech matters came chiefly through his separate Financial Services Committee role (Chief Counsel for Oversight to McHenry; counsel on the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee), not as an author of the Subcommittee majority's report. His role on the Coronavirus Crisis panel is confirmed by his firm bio and corroborated by trade press, including reporting that he and Ashley Callen worked together there and on House Oversight.
