Jenny Surane is a Bloomberg finance reporter. She co-reported the early-pandemic Kabbage story with Zeke Faux, and her beat covers banks, payments, and large financial institutions.

Pandemic-relief / PPP-EIDL role

Surane and Faux reported that Kabbage cut off business credit lines as cash needs mounted at the beginning of the pandemic. The story (we have a copy) describes Kabbage's position in early 2020, shortly before it moved into PPP processing.

Surane co-reported the April 2020 story with Zeke Faux. The Kabbage principals, Robert Frohwein and Kathryn Petralia, led the company when it moved into PPP processing (see their profiles). Lydia DePillis and Derek Willis did the data reporting on Kabbage at ProPublica.
