Womply loan count

Definition

Womply was not a lender and has no row in the SBA's PPP loan-level file: the loans it referred were made by partner lenders and are booked to them. The count adds the Womply-referred loans that court records state for Benworth Capital, Fountainhead SBF LLC and Capital Plus Financial, LLC to the PPP loans that Harvest Small Business Finance, LLC, BSD Capital, LLC dba Lendistry, DreamSpring and Sunshine State Economic Development Corporation had approved in 2021, the year Womply's PPP Fast Lane operated. Fountainhead's dollar figure is its 2021 SBA approvals, since its petition states only a loan count. Kabbage, Inc., a 2020 partner only, is left out, and so is every loan approved in 2020.

The Benworth record carries two other counts. The Amended Complaint — OTO Analytics v. Benworth and a Declaration of Toby Scammell — Oto Analytics v. Benworth give 305,790 loans "with a principal amount of more than $4 billion", and the Benworth FL Answer and Affirmative Defenses — OTO Analytics v. Benworth admits 307,790 when it quotes that paragraph. The count uses the arbitrator's 304,897, the one figure with an exact dollar total. The Capital Plus figure is also in the First Amended Complaint — Womply v. Capital Plus, which says Capital Plus had funded "most of the 86,521 PPP loans referred by Womply" by 12 July 2021; the court's later opinion says "Capital Plus funded 86,521 PPP loans worth over $950 million".

Lendistry is included on the basis that Womply's referrals reached it through Harvest Small Business Finance, LLC.

For the four lenders counted from the SBA file, every 2021 loan is counted, including any a lender made without the platform, so those four figures are upper bounds on Womply-referred volume.

Overlap with the Blueacorn row

Capital Plus Financial, LLC is one of the two lenders whose whole PPP books make up the Blueacorn (aggregator network) row: 395,359 of its 840,139 loans. The 86,521 Womply-referred Capital Plus loans are therefore in both the Womply count and the Blueacorn row, and adding the two rows together would count them twice.

Why the totals say "more than"

The court records give an exact dollar total only for the Benworth loans, $4,022,951,398. The court describes the Capital Plus loans as worth over $950 million, so the dollar total is a floor. The Fountainhead petition gives no dollar total, so the Fountainhead dollars are its 2021 SBA approvals, $3,756,496,860.17. The loan count is a floor too, because the Fountainhead figure is "more than 263,000".

Earlier figures

Before 23 September 2026 this archive used two other Womply figures, both sums of partner lenders' whole PPP books in the SBA file: 1,413,323 loans and $24,196,074,246.25 for seven lenders (Harvest, Benworth, Fountainhead, Lendistry, Kabbage, DreamSpring and Sunshine State), and 1,236,716 loans and $21,096,828,325.67 for eight lenders named as Womply partners in documents held here (the same list without Lendistry, plus Funding Circle and Fundbox; Capital Plus Financial, LLC, also a Womply partner, was not among them). Both counted every loan those lenders made in 2020 and 2021, whether or not it came through Womply. The count on this page replaced both on 23 September 2026. The PPP per-lender totals file still carries the seven-lender row.
