ORDER 
 
 
The Court has reviewed the Defendant’s Second Motion to Continue Trial, Pre-Trial 
Deadlines (Document 179) filed by Defendant Keisha Sutton, and the Defendant Shamise Wright’s 
Joinder of Kisha Sutton’s Motion to Continue Pretrial and Trial Dates (Document 180) filed by 
Defendant Shamise Wright.  The Court has also reviewed the Government’s Response in 
Opposition to Defendant Kisha Sutton’s Second Motion to Continue Trial (Document 195). 
The Defendant, Sutton, has requested a continuance to further investigate the role of a 
financial institution and a financial technology company acting as a third-party administrator.  The 
Defendant, Wright, joins in the motion filed by Defendant Sutton and also requests additional time 
to discuss discovery with Counsel.  The Court previously continued the trial of this matter from 
April 14, 2025, to June 9, 2025.

After thorough review and careful consideration, the Court finds that the Defendants have 
failed to show how the additional time would impact their ability to defend the requisite elements 
of the charged offense and, therefore, aid in effective representation of their respective clients.  
Wherefore, the Court ORDERS that the Defendant’s Second Motion to Continue Trial, Pre-Trial 
Deadlines (Document 179) and the Defendant Shamise Wright’s Joinder of Kisha Sutton’s Motion 
to Continue Pretrial and Trial Dates (Document 180) be DENIED.  
The Court DIRECTS the Clerk to send a copy of this Order to the Defendants and their 
respective counsel, to the United States Attorney, to the United States Probation Office, and to the 
Office of the United States Marshal.
