I'm writing to help with better understanding of my Grandson's character. I was very surprised and depressed that he has been found guilty of the allegations charged against him. I am a Rochester Police Department Police Officer, 22 years of service. While he was growing up l've always stayed in contact despite living in New York. He is a passionate young man, A great father and always shown respect in everyday life. David always had a passion for Dancing & Videography. In light of the current situation, David Antonetti has expressed genuine remorse and is committed to making amends. He understands the severity of his actions and is eager to undertake the necessary steps to ensure a positive change. Given David's genuine remorse and his commitment to positive change, 1 respectfully ask that you consider alternative sentencing options that would allow David to continue contributing to their community and family. I firmly believe that with the right guidance and support, David will turn this experience into a pivotal moment for personal growth and redemption. I have raised David since he was one year old, and in that time, l've seen him grow into a young man with so much potential and a good heart. David has always had a passion for video editing and filmmaking. He spends hours working on his projects, and it's clear that this is something he loves and is dedicated to. He also enjoys playing sports, and through that, he's learned discipline, teamwork, and the value of perseverance. I understand that David has made mistakes, but I believe in his ability to change and grow from this experience. He is a good person at his core, and I know he regrets the actions that brought him to this point. I hope the court can consider that he has the potential to use his skills in a positive way and contribute meaningfully to society. As his stepfather, I will continue to support him and guide him as best as I can. I believe with the right support and opportunities, David can turn his life around. As his parent, I would like to provide some background about David’s life, the struggles he has faced, and his character in hopes that it may give you a clearer understanding of who he is. David was diagnosed with ADHD and intellectual behavior at the age of six. From a young age, he struggled with these challenges, particularly in school. However, with the help of medication, he managed to focus and function well in many aspects of life. David has always been a sweet and loving boy, full of life and joy. His smile lights up any room he walks into, and he has always had a positive outlook on life, even during difficult times. We moved to Florida when David was in the 9th grade, and although he was starting over in a new state with a new school and no friends, he remained resilient. Despite being picked on because of his disabilities, David Case 8:24-cr-00317-VMC-AEP Document 58-1 Filed 03/10/25 Page 7 of 9 PageID 215 continued to go to school and stay strong. His disabilities made school more challenging for him, but he remained determined and worked hard. He took medication to help him focus and found joy in activities like baseball and dancing. While he didn’t succeed in sports, he discovered a passion for dancing and even took dancing classes, which brought him happiness and a sense of accomplishment. After finishing high school, David pursued his interest in videography at the School of Tampa Arts. He loved taking photos and creating videos from them. Unfortunately, a car accident shortly after he got his first car forced him to put college on hold. With the burden of car payments, David decided to work to support himself financially, which eventually led him to meet Yomara, the mother of his child. While David’s life took a difficult turn after becoming a father, He still managed to be there for his daughter he always been there since she was born he was so happy. Took her too her appointments and even stood at home watching her. I know that deep down, he is still that kind-hearted and passionate person who wants to do the right thing. David has always shown strength and perseverance in the face of adversity, and I believe with the right support, he can get back on the right path. He is not defined by his mistakes but by his resilience and potential to grow from them. I sincerely hope that you can show leniency in his case, as I know David is capable of turning his life around and becoming a positive influence in his daughters life and the community. David also loved helping in the community by volunteering with the back to school with Susan Valdes, he also enjoyed the crossing church and enjoyed the activities there with the youth group.
