UNOPPOSED MOTION TO CONTINUE DEFENDANT’S SENTENCING 
 
 
The United States of America, by Kurt R. Erskine, United States Attorney 
for the Northern District of Georgia, and Tal C. Chaiken and Nathan P. Kitchens, 
Assistant United States Attorneys for the Northern District of Georgia, respectfully 
files this motion to continue Defendant’s sentencing date to May 2, 2022 or later.  
In support of this Motion, the United States shows as follows: 
1. Defendant Darrell Thomas’s sentencing is currently set for April 19, 
2022 at 3:30 p.m.  
2. Undersigned counsel is scheduled to begin a trial before the Honorable 
Eleanor L. Ross on April 18, 2022.  The trial is expected to last no more than one 
week.  Counsel understand that Defendant’s attorneys may have a trial scheduled 
for the week of April 25, 2022.  Thus, both parties agree that it will be in their 
interests and in the interest of the Court to continue Defendant’s sentencing to May 
2, 2022 or later. 
3. Defendant’s attorney, Ben Alper, has advised the United States’ counsel 
that Defendant does not oppose the relief requested in this Motion.

WHEREFORE, the United States respectfully requests that the Court 
continue Defendant’s sentencing to a date on or after May 2, 2022.
