IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF WEST VIRGINIA CHARLESTON DIVISION UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff, v. CRIMINAL ACTION NO. 2:24-cr-00192-06 DAMISHA BROWN, Defendant. ORDER The Court has reviewed the Motion to Appear Remotely at Plea Hearing or, in the Alternative, Motion to Continue Plea Hearing (Document 213) filed in this matter. Therein, the Defendant moves the Court to allow her to appear remotely at the May 29, 2025, plea hearing, or for a continuance of the hearing. The motion is made on the grounds that the Defendant does not currently have transportation from New Jersey to West Virginia, and is unable to arrange childcare given the short notice of the hearing. The motion is unopposed by the United States. For reasons appearing to the Court, it is ORDERED that the Defendant’s motion (Document 213) be GRANTED and that the plea hearing be CONTINUED to Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. It is further ORDERED that the Defendant appear at this hearing in person as a condition of her bond. The Court DIRECTS the Clerk to send a copy of this Order to the Defendant and counsel, to the United States Attorney, to the United States Probation Office, and to the Office of the United States Marshal.
