ORDER 
 
 
Defendant was placed on pretrial release on August 8, 2022 [Doc. 12]. As a condition of 
his release, Defendant was placed in the custody of third-party custodian David Thomas. Id.  
Recent changes in circumstances have resulted in the United States Probation Office requesting 
removal of the third-party custodian and placement of Defendant in an in-patient mental health 
and drug treatment facility. The Court finds this request well-supported and the removal of the 
custodian appropriate.  The Court notes that this change is not due to any issues which have arisen 
with Defendant’s conduct while on supervision or to the third-party custodian but instead it is a 
result of the lack of suitable treatment options in the area where the home of Defendant’s father 
is located.   
Defendant is DIRECTED to abide by all previously imposed conditions of release in 
addition to the following: 
1. Defendant shall be placed in the custody of the following: 
 
New Opportunities 
1256 East Harper Ave. 
Maryville, TN 37804

2. Defendant must comply with any rules set by the New Opportunities program. 
 
3. Defendant may not travel outside of the New Opportunities program location listed 
above without prior authorization from the United States Probation Office. 
 
4. To the extent that he has not done so already, Defendant shall sign a release permitting 
the United States Probation Office and the Court to obtain his physical and mental 
health and drug treatment records in order to ensure his compliance with the conditions 
imposed.
