MOTION TO CONTINUE 
 
Comes now the defendant, Anna Marie Omar, by Assistant Federal Public 
Defender Clint Carte, and moves this Court for an Order continuing the sentencing 
hearing in this matter for a period of sixty (60) days.  In support thereof, the 
defendant states as follows: 
1. 
The sentencing hearing is currently scheduled for December 9, 2024, at 
11:00 a.m. before the Senior United States District Court Judge David A. Faber in 
Bluefield.   
2. 
Undersigned counsel requests an additional sixty days to prepare for 
sentencing. 
3. 
As Ms. Omar remains out on bond, she will not be unduly prejudiced if 
this motion is granted. 
4. 
Counsel is authorized to state that the government does not oppose a 
continuance of this proceeding.

The defendant certifies that the reasons for the request do not include general 
congestion of the Court’s calendar, or lack of diligent preparation on the part of the 
parties involved. 
 
WHEREFORE, defendant respectfully requests that this Court enter an 
Order continuing the sentencing hearing for a period of sixty days.
