Dear Judge Williams,, 
 
As the court is aware, the undersigned was appointed to represent Ms. Ponzo in the above 
referenced matter.  The Court recently extended the due dates regarding motion practice in this 
case due to the defendant’s need to engage Cornerstone Legal Consultants to manage the 
massive amount of discovery turned over to the defendant’s by the Government.  The Court set 
January 15, 2025 as the return date for oral argument. I am respectfully requesting a new date 
even if it is the same week as I have a previously scheduled sentencing in Newark before Judge 
Martinotti with AUSA Robert Frazer in the matter of United States v. Dawan Brown.  That 
matter is scheduled for 1:30 pm on January 15, 2025 and has been on my scheduled for several 
months.  I corresponded with AUSA Friedman regarding my scheduling conflict and he has no 
objection to my request but request that the date be before January 15, 2025 or in March of 2025 
as he starts a trial on January 20, 2025.  His preference is before January 15, 2025 however.
