The profile

Co-founder and CEO of Signpost, an SMB marketing-automation company whose platform was bought by Hibu in 2023; later a venture partner at Bowery Capital. A 2020 coalition-letter signatory whose company sold small-business marketing software, not loans.

Identity and role

Stuart Wall co-founded Signpost and built it into a small-business CRM and marketing-automation SaaS company (Forbes Council and ABF Journal profiles); he started it while at Harvard Business School. Wall signed the March 24, 2020 OnDeck-published "Letter to Congress" on behalf of Signpost.

Biography

His profiles list a Harvard Business School MBA, a Miami University finance degree, and an early career at Bain & Company. Signpost sold software that automated review collection, customer follow-up, and local marketing for small businesses, the kind of restaurants, salons, and home-services firms that lack in-house marketing staff.

The March 24, 2020 letter & pandemic relief

Signpost is not a lender and originated no relief loans. The signatories asked Treasury to let online and non-bank firms move "upwards of $500 billion" to small businesses and stated, "We seek no gain from this crisis."

We found no corporate borrower row for Signpost, Inc. in an exact-name search of the SBA 2024-09-30 PPP FOIA files. The rows that match "Signpost" in the public data are unrelated entities by name and location.

Where they are now (2025–2026)

In September 2023, Hibu, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital, acquired Signpost's marketing-technology platform (Hibu and H.I.G. releases). Wall is a venture partner at Bowery Capital (Bowery page) and co-founder and CEO of Setpoint, a fintech infrastructure company for asset-backed lending that raised a $43 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz in 2022 (TechCrunch); ABF Journal named him a 2025 innovator .
