Galdo's government enforcement work came after the money left the Treasury and SBA channels. DOJ's Sept. 14, 2022 strike-force announcement identified him as Deputy Director for COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement leading the strike-force teams (see the Nicole Argentieri and Glenn Leon profiles). DOJ's 2024 task-force report later described hundreds of ongoing investigations into identity theft, money-laundering networks, large-dollar fraud, and businesses that facilitated pandemic-relief fraud.
King & Spalding's profile says Galdo joined the firm after more than 15 years as a federal prosecutor, including service as DOJ's Director of COVID-19 Fraud Enforcement.
