Pasadena bank that made 12,964 PPP loans for $2.7 billion and eleven Main Street loans for $233.6 million, and later extended credit to the CDFI Lendistry.

SBA's loan-level data list 12,964 PPP loans from East West Bank for $2.70 billion, 10,394 of them to California borrowers.2 It also made eleven loans for $233.6 million under the Federal Reserve's Main Street Lending Program.3

Lending to Lendistry

After the programs closed, East West became a lender to Lendistry, the Los Angeles CDFI run by Everett Sands. On October 1, 2025, Lendistry announced a $75 million credit facility from East West Bank's Specialty Finance Group to support its SBA 7(a) lending.4 On July 9, 2026 it announced a second, $100 million facility from East West, with a $100 million accordion, to fund its Airport Concessions Program for businesses operating in airports.5
