Request to Terminate Supervised Release as Scheduled 
 
 
On December 2, 2014, Mr. Jean-Jacques appeared before Your Honor after having previously pled guilty 
to Theft of Public Money, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 641.  He was sentenced to 24 months of 
imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release, to include restitution in the amount of 
$110,299.68, which was to be paid joint and several.  Mr. Jean-Jacques released from imprisonment and 
commenced his term of supervised release on December 14, 2015 in the Southern District of Florida.   
Mr. Jean-Jacques’ term of supervised release is scheduled to expire on December 13, 2018.   
 
The Southern District of Florida reports, and OPERA records confirm, that Mr. Jean-Jacques has paid 
$5,260.00 towards the balance of his restitution.  The restitution continues to be paid joint and several, 
and the current outstanding balance is $77,043.80.  Mr. Jean-Jacques has been paying approximately 
$300.00 per month towards restitution.  The defendant resides alone, and is employed with Lyft as a 
transportation driver.  
 
The U.S. Probation Office respectfully recommends that Mr. Jean-Jacques’ term of supervised release 
terminate on the currently scheduled expiration date of December 13, 2018.  Unless Your Honor has any 
objections to this recommendation, the U.S. Probation Office will terminate Mr. Jean-Jacques’ term of 
supervision as scheduled and notify the Financial Litigation Unit of the termination so that they may 
proceed to continue to collect the restitution balance as deemed appropriate.
