NARRATIVE
On 9/14/2020
Iwas in full uniform in a marked
patrol vehicle working as 3W2. At 0037 hours I was dispatched
to a reported
DVassault
at
470036
Av SW. The following
information
was provided.
"RP POSS CRISIS.RP SAYSTHAT HER BOYFASLTEDHER, PUNCHED IN FACE.RP
HIDINGIN OFFICE.NO WPNS."
Dispatch
advised the caller was V/M
B
and she was stating
her boyfriend
S/Eric Shibley had assaulted
her. I have contacted
both parties
several times in the past and they have a history of DVissues. They both live at the address.
Iarrived on scene and contacted
M
she was heavily intoxicated
and crying. She stated
that tonight
she and Eric got into an
argument
which frightened
her, so she called 911. She did not allege any assaults
tonight.
The building was checked,
and Eric was not
located.
M
vehicle was the only one in the nearby parking lot. She stated
he was inside in a locked bedroom
that. She did not have
a key or code to open the door and there
was no response
after several knocks and announcements.
I observed
healing bruises on M
face and right leg. She stated
that Eric had assaulted
her 2 days ago and the bruises resulted.
She
was unable to describe
how the assault
occurred
or what lead to the argument
tonight
due to her intoxication.
M
refused
to be examined
by SFD and refused
to go to the hospital.
She did not have any money to pay for a hotel and refused
to
meet with the Mobile Crisis Team at the SW Precinct.
Istrongly
recommended
M
find different
accommodations
for the night, but
she refused
to leave the building or accept
any services
after
several requests.
Itook photos
of her injuries and later uploaded
them to
DEMS. M
refused
to provide an audio statement
and declined
a DVpamphlet.
Eventually
Eric was reached
on the phone and admitted
to being in the building inside the locked bedroom.
He claimed that M
had
assaulted
him 2 days ago but refused
to provide
any detail or speak with Officers in person.
He stated
that tonight
they got into an
argument
because
M
was drunk and he separated
himself from her. He did not allege any assaults
tonight
then hung up the phone.
A record
check showed
Eric to be under federal
probation
supervision.
I called the provided
number
and advised
them of the
circumstances
of the call.
M
was provided
a business
card with the incident
number
on it. A/Sgt Masterson
screened
this incident.
