MOTION TO CONTINUE SENTENCING HEARING  
Comes now the Defendant, James Lomax, by counsel, and moves this Honorable Court for 
a brief continuance of the sentencing hearing currently scheduled in this matter for August 7, 2025, 
at 10:00 a.m.   
The reason for the requested continuance is the undersigned counsel has a prepaid family 
vacation scheduled from July 30, 2025, to August 7, 2025, and will not return until the evening of 
August 7.  Defendant respectfully requests that the sentencing hearing be continued to a date 
shortly after August 7, and can represent that Mr. Bazzle from the United States Attorney’s Office 
does not object to such a continuance.
