Dear Brooks: July 19, 2023 Honorable Frederic Block Senior United States District Judge Eastern District of New York 225 Cadman Plaza East Brooklyn, New York 11201 VIA ECF Re: United States v. Anuli Okeke 22 Cr. 20 (FB) Dear Judge Block: Defendant Anuli Okeke (“Okeke”) is currently on pretrial release pursuant a $100,000 appearance bond that includes numerous conditions including a travel restriction to the States of New York and Massachusetts. By this letter, Okeke respectfully requests permission to travel to Baltimore, Maryland from August 5, 2023 through August 6, 2023 to attend a birthday celebration for her best friend’s 80 year old mother. Should this request be granted, Okeke will provide Pretrial Services with a full itinerary prior to her departure. The government, by Assistant United States Attorney Chan Edwards-Balfour, and the Pretrial Services, by United States Pretrial Officer Colton Craft consent to this application.
