ORDER

On July 11, 2023, the Court denied retained defense counsel's
motion to withdraw from this case because there had been no
expression of Defendant Gladys Harun’s intent on the record. (Doc.
No. 11.) The Court also extended the time to file objections to
the Presentence Investigation Report. (Doc. No. 15.)

At present, the Court is in receipt of a letter from
Defendant, who is incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail. The
letter reflects a level of discontent with defense counsel that
appears irreconcilable. Her letter is attached to this Order as
Court Exhibit A - and is hereby SEALED.

Upon consideration of this development in the case, the Court
hereby ORDERS that Attorneys Teri L. Thompson and Mohammed S.
Luwemba are DISCHARGED from their representation of Defendant.
Further, Defendant Gladys Harun shall have until August 31, 2023

to file any and all objections to the Presentence Investigation

Report. This requirement places upon Defendant the onus of
retaining a new attorney with expediency. Until such time as a
Notice of Appearance is entered by new defense counsel, all filings
in the case should be served upon Defendant at the Jefferson County
Jail. Moreover, Defendant has a duty to file any motion in the
case through the Clerk's Office in person or by United States mail,
with the above-referenced case caption and case number, and a copy
of any filed motion must be served upon the United States
Attorney’s Office by United States mail.
