To the Judge or whom it may concern: 
Maurice Fayne is my great nephew; I am his mother’s oldest aunt. He is a great father, 
nephew, and certainly son. He helps take care of my sister, which is his grandmother, as well as 
his own children, younger/older cousins, aunt, and great aunts. He tries his best to care for 
everyone in the family if he can help. He has a huge heart and has good intentions with wanting 
to make everyone happy and help. The younger children consider him as their uncle has well. 
We taught all the generations to respect their elders and if someone was older then them, no 
matter what the original title was. He always tries to make time for his family when family 
events, holidays, birthdays, and other family festive, etc. are planned. He is the only child and 
loves his family very much. He is surrounded by a great and loving family. We might not be that 
big in size, but our love and support for one another make up for it tremendously. He is a great 
and wonderful person all the way around. He is also a very respectful, honorable, and loving 
person. We all love and miss him dearly. We all make mistakes, but we can all be forgiven as 
well. We all would like for him to return home to receive all the family love and support that is 
waiting on him. Thank you for your time.

Dear Judge Cohen: 
Maurice Fayne is my great nephew I am his mother’s youngest aunt. Maurice is a great 
father son and grandson. He loves his granny and his two daughters. He has 100% of support of 
his family we all loves him and when released will welcome him into our home with open arms. 
We have not seen him in over a year I ask the court to please have him placed somewhere close 
to Little Rock AR.so we can visit and take his daughters to visit. He tries his best to care for 
everyone in the family if he can help. He has a heart of gold and has good intentions with 
wanting to help anyone he can. The younger children look up to him and are grateful for him; 
they would consider him to an uncle more than a cousin. We taught all the generations to respect 
their elders; especially if someone was older then them, no matter what the original title was. He 
always tries to make time for his family; when he can and when his schedule allows it. He loves 
his family and loves to see their smiling faces. He is a great and wonderful person all the way 
around. He is also a very respectful, family oriented, honorable, caring, and loving person. We 
all love and miss him dearly. We all make mistakes, but we can all be forgiven as well. We

Maurice Fayne is my second cousin, but I consider him as my uncle. Maurice is an 
excellent citizen. He is an outstanding father and son. He helps take care of his grandmother as 
well as his own children, cousins, and aunts. He has helped my daughter and I on multiple 
occasions when I needed help with something. I am attending a Nursing school but in Missouri; 
he has helped me buy books when I needed them the most during my first years in college. He 
cares for his daughters, older/younger cousins, and as well and everyone else in the family. The 
younger children consider him as their uncle has well. It’s all respect inside our family; we were 
all raised to respect our elders. He always made time for his family when we all planned to get 
together for family events, holidays, birthdays, etc.  He is a great and wonderful person all the 
way around. He is also a very respectful and loving person. We all love and miss him dearly.

Dear judge Cohen 
I am the grandmother of Maurice Fayne he lived with me from 4 weeks old until 
He finished school. His parents has never provided a home for him. She was in and  
out of prison. when she got out she never showed much interest in him although he  
was an adult. His father never provided much for him he liked to put down my side of  
the family to a child.  Maurice once told me he didn’t like going with his father because 
all he did was talk about us. I was married to an abusive husband  he was verbal abusive  
to Maurice and my daughter and physical abusive to me they grew up in this environment. 
When we got out of this situation I did my best to support us. The biggest mistake I made 
Was to move to little rock I believe if we had stayed in west Memphis Maurice would have  
had a chance to go to college on a football scholarship and would have had a different 
outcome in life. But I moved him to little rock in a bad environment. I love my grandson 
and will provide all the support I can, he’ll always have a home with me. I have some  
health problems I hope I live long enough to see him a free man. He has two daughters  
one 18 and one 13 he loves them and will do anything he could for them. He has called 
them and apologize to them for his mistakes, they loves their father also. I pray that you 
have some lenience on him and please ask the federal bureau of prisons to place him  
somewhere close to Little Rock Ar.so his family can visit him.
