Tinsley, United States Magistrate Judge Date of Release on Bond: September 1, 2022 Original Offense: 18 U.S.C. § 1343: Wire fraud NONCOMPLIANCE SUMMARY Violation Number Nature of Noncompliance 1. Violation of Additional Conditions of Release Number 7(m): The defendant must not use or unlawfully possess a narcotic drug or other controlled substances defined in 21 U.S.C. § 802, unless prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner: Upon release on September 1, 2022, the defendant reported to the probation office and submitted a urine specimen that tested positive for marijuana. He verbally acknowledged to the probation officer he last used the substance on or about August 29, 2022, prior to his release on bond. U.S. Probation Officer Action: Based on his admission, Mr. Butler was enrolled into random urine screening through the Court’s contracted treatment provider located in St. Albans, West Virginia. The probation officer will closely monitor the defendant’s urine screening results to assess and address any substance abuse risks or needs. All future noncompliances will be reported to the Court.
