 1          Before the Court is Defendant Thomson Reuters’ Motion to Stay Discovery pending (1)

 2   resolution of Thomson Reuters’ Motion to Dismiss Pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(b)(6) and

 3   Motion to Strike Pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure § 425.16 (hereinafter “Motion to

 4   Dismiss”), or (2) in the event the Court grants the Motion to Dismiss with leave to amend, until

 5   there is no longer a pleading challenge that would result in the Court dismissing the case. Having

 6   considered the briefs and arguments of the parties, and because the pending Motion to Dismiss is

 7   potentially dispositive of the entire case and no discovery is necessary to decide the Motion to

 8   Dismiss, the Court hereby GRANTS the Motion to Stay Discovery. Therefore, discovery shall be

 9   stayed pending this Court’s resolution of Thomson Reuters’ Motion to Dismiss, or in the event

10   the Court grants the Motion to Dismiss with leave to amend, until there is no longer a pleading

11   challenge that would result in the Court dismissing the case.
