SumUp Completes Acquisition of Fivestars on October 28, 2021 San Francisco & London (November 10, 2021) -- SumUp, the London-based global payments service provider with over 2,800 employees across three continents, today announced that it completed the acquisition of FivestarsOpens in new window, America’s largest two-sided local commerce network that combines a marketing platform with integrated payments, on October 28th, 2021. Fivestars was acquired for a total of $317 million in a mix of cash and stock. With a shared mission to offer compelling payments and marketing automation services to small business merchants across the globe, Fivestars's San-Francisco-based team, including its CEO and co-founder, Victor HoOpens in new window, will remain in their roles and continue to operate Fivestars.
