BRIEF BIOGRAPHY: Chris Pilkerton is the Chief Legal Officer for Accion Opportunity Fund, the nation’s leading non- profit community development financial institution concentrating on small business support for the underserved. He is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an Executive in Residence at Georgetown University Business School. Mr. Pilkerton previously served as both the SBA’s General Counsel and Acting Administrator, as well as a White House Senior Policy Advisor. Prior to this government service, he was a compliance director at JP Morgan Chase, an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan and as Senior Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He has been an Executive in Residence at the Johns Hopkins University Business School, and the Associate Director of the Law and Public Policy Program at the Catholic University Law School - where he was a Fulbright Teaching Scholar. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University, a law degree from Catholic University, and an undergraduate degree from Fairfield University.
