Title: Rubio’s Small Business Committee Receives Only A Rating by Lugar Center Date: 2021-01-27 Rubio’s Small Business Committee Receives Only A Rating by Lugar Center January 27, 2021 Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, released the following statement after the Lugar Center awarded the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship the only A rating for the 116th Congress Committee Report Card for Congressional Oversight. “When I became the Chairman of the Small Business Committee, my goal was to enact policies that would help the 21st century entrepreneur, empower small businesses to thrive, and provide needed reform of the Small Business Administration,” Chairman Rubio said. “No one could ever have imagined the devastating impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on America’s small businesses.” “The Paycheck Protection Program and additional small business relief has been essential to saving America’s small businesses and protecting the workers they employ,” Chairman Rubio continued. “I am proud of the work the committee was able to achieve and the robust oversight to ensure taxpayer dollars were used responsibly.” “It’s an honor to be recognized by the Lugar Center and a tribute to the tremendously talented and dedicated committee staff that I have had the pleasure of working with for the past two years,” Rubio concluded.
