House Passes Four Bipartisan Small Business Bills to Mark Small Business Week April 29, 2024 Washington, DC - Today, the House passed four bipartisan small business bills, including legislation to better support underserved entrepreneurs and address the challenges facing small government contractors. “As we recognize National Small Business Week, we have much to celebrate as we’ve seen more than 17 million new businesses starts since President Biden took office,” said Ranking Member Nydia M. Velázquez. “Whether it is our local plumber or contractor, a chef launching a restaurant, or a medical professional, these entrepreneurs create neighborhood jobs and reinvest in the local economies. But more work needs to be done, and the four bipartisan bills passed today will create additional opportunities for entrepreneurs.” H.R. 7985, the “Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act of 2024”, introduced by Rep. Morgan McGarvey (D-KY) and Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY), requires the Small Business Administration to submit a report to Congress on the challenges facing entrepreneurs with disabilities within 180 days. “I’m so pleased to see two of my Small Business Committees bills pass the House this evening,” said Rep.
