Cleary Gottlieb partner Lisa Schweitzer has been named an “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer” for 2023 by Turnarounds and Workouts.

Lisa is among only 15 lawyers nationwide who have been honored for working on some of the year’s most significant restructurings.

Lisa’s recent work has included representing:

LATAM Airlines in its exit from a first-of-its-kind cross-border debt restructuring involving over $16 billion in liabilities, successfully defending LATAM’s reorganization plan in a series of expedited appeals.

Miami International Holdings Inc. in its acquisition of LedgerX LLC from Ledger Holdings Inc., a unit of FTX Trading Ltd., successfully negotiating for a sale provision that effectively insulated LedgerX, MIH, and certain other key parties from any further claims related to the FTX cases.

The largest secured creditor of Kabbage, Inc. d/b/a KServicing, the bankrupt issuer of over $7 billion of loans in connection with the Paycheck Protection Program, and, following effective date of debtor’s amended joint plan, continuing to advise that creditor on various matters related to the estate’s liquidation.

Korean conglomerate Doosan Corporation, an equity holder and contract counterparty, in SiO2 Medical Products, Inc.’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Mubadala Capital in the successful restructuring of a portfolio company through new investment and complex corporate restructuring of the business.

BNP Paribas in separate actions brought by Irving H. Picard, the trustee appointed for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
