For DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH), the acquisition marks a significant expansion of its Commerce Platform capabilities, providing merchants with the tools to grow in-store and delivery sales, build stronger customer relationships and increase profitability. The acquisition is expected to close during the second half of 2025. The transaction was announced on May 6, 2025 in a press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2011, SevenRooms has more than 13,000 dining, hotel F&B, nightlife and entertainment venues globally, including: Marriott International, MGM Resorts International, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Wynn Resorts and Live Nation. “We were pleased to be able to work with DoorDash to secure this exciting and ambitious acquisition,” said A&O Shearman M&A partner Jesse Debban. “The work on this transaction demonstrates our firm’s capacity to execute global transactions across multiple jurisdictions and practices skillfully and efficiently.” The A&O Shearman team that represented DoorDash was led by M&A partner Jesse Debban, and included digital, data, IP and technology partners Alex Touma and Daren Orzechowski, data privacy partner Helen Christakos, compensation, employment, pensions and governance partner Jai Garg, tax partner Larry Crouch, and associates Mara Goodman, Lucy Chen, Loni Cardoso, Michael Alvarez, Jack Weinert, Florence Duong and Sophia Zander. A&O Shearman, led by London corporate partner Will Samengo-Turner, previously advised DoorDash in connection with investments and acquisitions in Romania, Czech Republic, U.K., and Israel, as well as in its EUR7 billion acquisition of Finnish delivery company Wolt, which significantly expanded DoorDash's international operations.
