Pandemic-relief / PPP-EIDL role
In 2021 CBA issued a statement on a study of PPP fraud that, in its words, found fintechs among the lenders with the highest rates of suspicious loans .
Under Hunt, CBA sent SBA and Treasury a comment letter on unresolved PPP issues, including bank reliance on borrower certifications, and issued a statement supporting passage of a PPP extension bill .

No personal enforcement action, relief loan, or company-side PPP conduct was found.
Where they are now (2025–2026)
Hunt left CBA in 2022 (CBA announcement) and in 2023 became executive chairman of the Electronic Payments Coalition (EPC announcement).
Hunt ran CBA through the acute PPP period; Lindsey Johnson succeeded him in July 2022. His bank-trade peers during the rollout were Rob Nichols of ABA and Rebeca Romero Rainey of ICBA.
