NOTICE OF APPEAL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Christpher Scott, the Defendant in the
above-captioned case, hereby appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the
Seventh Circuit from the recent Judgment and Commitment Order entered in this action
by the Honorable Court. This Notice of Appeal is filed pursuant to Rule 3(a) and Rule
4(b) of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, which govern appeals as of right in
criminal cases. The Defendant files this appeal within the 14-day statutory time period
provided by FRAP 4(b)(1)(A).

The appeal is taken from the final judgment of conviction and sentence, which
constitutes an appealable final decision under 28 U.S.C. § 1291 and 18 U.S.C. §
3742(a) (review of an otherwise final sentence).

In accordance with FRAP 3(c)(1), this Notice of Appeal specifies:

1. The party taking the appeal is Christopher Scott, the Defendant.

2. The judgment appealed from is the final judgment and commitment order
recently entered.

3. The Court of Appeals to which the appeal is taken is the United States Court of
