ORDER GRANTING UNOPPOSED MOTION 
 FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO INDICT [DE 15] 
  
THIS CAUSE is before the Court pursuant to the Government’s Unopposed Motion for 
Extension of Time to Indict (“Unopposed Motion”) [DE 15], wherein the Government seeks to 
exclude the time period between August 23, 2023, and August 25, 2023, on the grounds that the 
parties wish to have an additional period of time in which to discuss pre-trial detention and/or bond 
or an alternate resolution to this case.  The defendant waives his rights under the Speedy Trial Act. 
The Court will allow further time for the parties to confer and discuss this case as well as the 
upcoming pretrial detention hearing, and the Court finds good cause for the parties’ joint request. 
After full consideration of the relevant facts and factors, and the Unopposed Motion and the 
representations contained therein, the court hereby incorporates such representations as findings 
of fact. Taking into consideration the factors set forth in 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(7)(B), the Court can 
and does find that the ends of justice served by such an enlargement of time outweigh the best 
interests of the public and of the defendant in a speedy trial.  
Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that:  
1. The Unopposed Motion [DE 15] is GRANTED.

2. The time period between August 23, 2023, and August 25, 2023, is hereby excluded 
from calculation under the Speedy Trial Act, 18 U.S.C. § 3161 et seq.
