NOW COMES the undersigned court appointed counsel for Defendant Monica Faye 
Barnes and files this Motion to Withdraw as his attorney.  In support thereof, counsel shows the 
following: 
1. 
Counsel filed a Notice of Appearance on December 16, 2022. 
2. 
Defendant was named in a one count Criminal Information on March 22, 2023, 
and was charged with one of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1349 
in connection with PPP loans.  
3. 
In a plea agreement filed on April 26, 2023, Defendant pleaded guilty.   
4. 
Defendant was sentenced on July 28, 2023. 
5. 
Defendant has advised counsel that she wishes to appeal the entry of Judgment. 
6. 
Counsel is not on the Appellate List for court appointed attorneys and wishes to 
withdraw in order that the Court may appoint counsel to represent Monica Faye Barnes. 
7. 
We have been unable to contact AUSA David Beraka.

NOW, THEREFORE, counsel requests that the Court enter an Order granting his Motion 
to Withdraw and directing the Federal Public Defender to appoint new counsel.
