To the Honorable Judge Wilson, 
I am writing to seek home confinement as early as possible. Since the start of my time, I have 
strived to better myself for the sake of my family. This experience has taught me a new respect 
for the law and has concreted in my mind that prison is not where I want to be.  
Your Honor, failing my family was and is the worst punishment I could have. I grew up with my 
brother being raised by just my mother. When I got married and we had the first of our 
daughters, I knew that I could never leave them. I vowed to myself that I would never, but I 
have.  
Perhaps the saddest thing for my family is that they didn’t just lose me, but my wife, my brother 
and his wife, which has left both of her family’s children without their parents and having to help 
care for their disabled grandmother when they should be focused on school. My brother’s 
children were forced to move because he lost his house and my kids are at similar risk because 
my house is in foreclosure. My mother whom I took care of is blind has been forced to move into 
Section 8 Housing.  
I know from my own life how important a father figure is. I am the only one left with any hope 
of being there for my kids and my brother’s kids. I need to get the woman who spent her life 
raising me out of Section 8.  
I have dedicated my time in prison to setting a good example for my kids. I have not gotten into 
any trouble here. I work full time making pants for the men and women serving in the Army and 
have even been recognized as Employee of the Month. I have programmed. I can my family as 
much as I can.  
I am past the halfway point of my time. With the credits that I am earning, I think that I could be 
going to a halfway house soon. If possible, I ask Your Honor to send me to home confinement 
for the rest of my time. The additional home confinement may seem insignificant, but it is 
everything for my family.  
I close humbly pleading that this court help my family and send me home to them.
