THE COURT:  Next, 21-CR-74, U.S. versus Amber Bruey.
Who is here on this one?
MS. VIACAVA:  Good morning.  Yolande Viacava
representing the government standing in for Trent Reichling.
MR. LAPPAN:  Good morning, Your Honor.  Jim Lappan
for Ms. Bruey.
THE COURT:  Okay.  So this is a PPP case, and her
husband has already pled.  Do I have that case?  Do I have that
case?
MR. LAPPAN:  You do, Your Honor.
THE COURT:  Okay.  So it says sentencing in April.
Is he cooperating or anything, or what's going on with that?
MR. LAPPAN:  I don't know, Your Honor.
THE COURT:  You're not representing him.
MR. LAPPAN:  Correct.
Judge, in this case, I'm not signing a continuance,
I'm just seeking, if the Court please, a plea extension to
March 9th.
THE COURT:  That's fine.  So you think you're going
to get it worked out is what I'm hearing.
MR. LAPPAN:  Yes, Your Honor.
THE COURT:  So we'll just put it on March 21st
at 11:00 a.m.  If that goes through, that date goes away

MR. LAPPAN:  Very well, Your Honor.
THE COURT:  And, to the extent I need to, pursuant to
18 USC Section 3161(h)(7), I find the ends of justice are
served by the continuance and outweighs the best interests of
the defendant and the public in a speedy trial.  Therefore the
time is excludable, even though the defense is not actually
asking for a continuance.  We'll just handle it that way.
