 Court calls case. Counsel enter appearances.

 Mr. Reichling indicates that this will take 2 weeks to try this case, 17 to 22
 witnesses. The Court would like some assurances that this will not last longer than
 five days. Has concerns about bringing a jury in for a two-week trial. The Court
 does not want to risk two weeks of exposure of these jurors. The Court notes that
 no court anywhere in the State of Florida, for the last year, has held a jury trial for
 two weeks. The Court suggests to counsel that they need more communication.
 The parties should get together and figure out a way to try this case in one week.

 The Court will set a status conference with the parties. At the status conference the
 parties should be able to advise the court that they are willing to stipulate to the
 mortgage application, the PPE application, etc. so that we don’t have to call a
 records custodian as a witness.

 The Court will always protect the speedy trial rights of the defendant. Notes that
 the defendant is out on bond and has been doing well. The Court sets a status
 conference for Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:30 PM via Zoom.

 Mr. Reichling reminds the court that he has two or three witnesses that are from
 out of the state. Mr. Reichling is hopeful that the Court will consider setting the
 trial for mid to late March to allow for time to get travel arrangements made. Mr.
 Reichling notes that one of his witnesses is in the high-risk Covid category, but she
 is willing to drive to Fort Myers from Washington, D.C.

 Court notes that the motion to dismiss has already been ruled on, and now it really
 comes down to a determination of fact by the jury as to what the intent was on
 procuring these loans. This is not a complicated case.

 The Court requests that the parties provide the exhibits to the court a day before
 the final pretrial conference, these will not be the officially marked exhibits.
 Providing these exhibits will be helpful, and this way at the final pretrial conference
 we will know which exhibits will be presented through which witness, and when we
 are going to move in the ones that are stipulated to.
